The restoration of Liverpool’s India Buildings shows that sensitive, well-loved, historic site can become high performing modern, agile and inclusive workplaces.
“Retrofitting India Buildings has preserved an iconic building for the city and internally the design cleverly solves issues for neuro-divergent people and offers an inclusive environment. It is more than a renovated building, it is a new lease of life that has re-invigorated the illustrious area into a thriving community.”
The success of the refurbishment of India Buildings was testament to the collaboration of the teams involved in the Cat a A and Cat B works over a five year period.
Alex Harrsion, Project Architect said “This project has been a five-year labour of love, I feel extremely proud to have seen it through, I think we have managed to bring this building back to life and back into use.”
