Planning permission has been granted for a hotel and residential scheme in the Gateshead Quays area, designed by Falconer Chester Hall for Elliot Group. The scheme will comprise of a 202-bed 4 star hotel, 244 apartments and a rooftop garden with views over Newcastle city centre.
“The plans have been designed to exploit the views afforded by the area’s sloping topography” explained architect Martin Haymes.
“The scheme is stepped at 10, 16 and 21 storeys to exploit the stunning views across the river towards Newcastle’s skyline.”
