Planning permission granted for Cosgrove North West Limited hotel, Longman Drive, Liverpool

In association with a team led by J10 Planning, we have secured planning permission for a hotel on Longman Drive, Speke, Liverpool.

The £10m, 150 room hotel, will be delivered on Longman Drive. This 5 storey, new build hotel will be located on a current brownfield site on a prime main road into Liverpool city centre.  The scheme has been designed for Cosgrove North West Limited and was approved at today’s planning hearing, Tuesday 10th March.

“It is wonderful news that we have been granted planning permission on this site” said Stephen Fieldsend, Associate Director.

“The development will enhance the streetscape and provide an active frontage to Speke Boulevard.  The hotel offers a key amenity that could be utilised by the many industries operating in Speke.  The design is strong and bold, but with the provision of carefully considered hard and soft landscaping the hotel will sit well within its context and present guests with a pleasant environment to enjoy.”

Steven Cosgrove of Cosgrove North West Limited commented, “This site provides a prime location on a busy road in to Liverpool city centre, a short drive to key landmarks and leisure facilities in the city centre and also in close proximity to the successful Liverpool John Lennon airport.

The hotel will create an inclusive environment to cater for a diverse range of users.  We are delighted with the final design and the positive outcome from the planning meeting today”
