New Bird Street

A modified design for a new residential building on New Bird Street has been approved by Liverpool City Council today.

Our latest scheme retains the design principles of the previously approved scheme from Tim Groom Architects but adds extra apartments to better meet market needs.

The changes, on behalf of Legacie Developments, allow for a more efficient layout with a reduced gross floor area.

The new scheme will incorporate 202 residential units made up of 109 one-bedroom, 90 two-bedroom and three three-bedroom duplex apartments. Each apartment will either face out onto adjoining streets or into a private internal courtyard.

There will also be 1200 sq m of commercial space on the ground floor.

‘The client has an aspiration for the site to provide high quality, contemporary apartments that meet a need for affordable residential accommodation within the city centre. This modified design helps meet that aspiration’

said Adam Hall, FCH Managing Director.
