Falconer Chester Hall gain consent for keynote Luton site

The London studio of Falconer Chester Hall has secured a planning consent for a gateway site in Luton for a major new residential scheme.

The 11 storey building, which had been recommended for approval, offers 67 one and two bedroom homes for market rent. The developer is Asset Corp.

“It was key that we showed proper respect for the old former chapel next door and the planners were complementary about how we achieved that,” said scheme architect Chris Cox.

The scheme will see the demolition of a disused two storey building on the .12h site, and provide new public realm, street frontage and a terraced rooftop. A listed building to the north of the scheme will also be retained.
