Falconer Chester Hall has won planning permission for a modern terrace of 11 four-storey townhouses on a vacant site in a popular residential area close to Liverpool city centre. The proposed scheme will contain ten six-bedroom houses and one four-bed wheelchair accessible home.
The design is shaped by the scale and density of the terrace houses that used to be on the land, but revisited to create accommodation that is attractive to larger families, drawn back to the area by its recent regeneration.
‘The architectural language has been inspired by the Victorian architecture of the Granby area, highlighting elements characteristic of the area including buff brick, large windows and ornamental detail but simplified to create a strong contemporary row of houses that will add to the vibrant local community.’
