The Manchester Waters scheme is regenerating a former 26-acre dockland site, Pomona Island.
Falconer Chester Hall developed the detailed design drawings in conjunction with the main contractor and construction of phase 2 is nearing completion. A number of the apartments benefit from the large roof overhang offering shade in the height of summer, fully opening windows and sliding doors avoid overheating issues and create an improved air exchange.
The external balconies were fabricated offsite and craned into position, this included the glazed balustrades and paving, simplifying installation and removing the requirement of any temporary works.
