A residential development comprising 177 new apartments is set to rise from a vacant site on Kirkdale Road, close to Liverpool city centre.
The Falconer Chester Hall design has two connected buildings of five and six storeys delivering a mix of 18 studios, 69 one and 90 two-bedroom apartments, plus commercial space on the ground floor, a communal courtyard garden area and a residents’ gym.
Thirteen of the homes will be directly accessed from the street, helping create a harmonious relationship with the surrounding, low-rise residential street-scene.
‘This development builds on regeneration already happening in the area, restoring the historic urban fabric and reinstating activity and the historic scale on one of Liverpool’s great roads. The city council deserves much credit for encouraging this form and quality of development.’
