Planning permission granted for Kenyon Lane

Falconer Chester Hall have secured planning permission for a residential scheme on Kenyon Lane, Moston, Manchester for developer Aldephi (Kenyon lane) Developments Limited.

The DIY hardware store currently on site is in a state of disrepair and will be demolished to make way for the four-storey development which comprises of 30 x 2 bed and 3 x 1 bed apartments.

The development will feature a landscaped residents’ garden to the rear and will enhance the streetscape along Kenyon Lane.  Car parking and cycle storage have been included and work is expected to begin on site in 2021.

A spokesman for Aldephi (Kenyon Lane) said “This is an ideal site for affordable housing.  The area is in need of additional high-quality stock and we aim to plug that gap.”

Mike Gore, Manchester-based director of Falconer Chester Hall, added “We’ve picked up on the red brick vernacular of the neighbouring buildings and used strong fenestration to provide a confident frontage on what is a prominent site on one of Moston’s main roads.

“It’s a well-mannered building that sites well on its plot.”
