Managing Director Adam Hall has been quoted in a recent article published by Ella Jessel in Architects’ Journal regarding Liverpool facing the possible loss of its heritage status.
Adam said a ‘careful balance’ had always been struck in the city between regeneration and heritage.
‘The heritage assets within Liverpool Waters have been logged and, as development unfolds, they are being protected and incorporated into the wider scheme. The reality is, however, that much of the area is simply empty, windswept quaysides on which new, high-quality development seems entirely appropriate. Good new design will always sit well alongside quality older buildings.
Adam commented “I would love to show Unseco two contrasting buildings in Liverpool, The Lexington and India Buildings.”
