Isle of Man cycle raises money for trust

After months of planning, we made it around the Isle of Man! We’re really proud of our cycling fundraisers for an absolutely tremendous effort in raising over £12,000 for the Jonathan Falconer Charitable Trust. The money will go towards The Alder Centre at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, a special place for parents who have suffered a bereavement. The centre is designed by our friends at AHMM Architects, who are also raising money.

We are really grateful for the support of friends and families and particularly to our clients and fellow consultants who have generously given to the cause.

The event has been brilliant for our staff as well, with many picking up a bike for the first time since they were young, battling a very hilly 57 mile loop. A number of more experienced cyclists took on the ultimate ‘lap’, 105 miles with 2,500m of climbing.

“Congratulations to all the FCH cyclists who took part in The Lighthouse Challenge on the Isle of Man. Fantastic effort given the heat and the terrain, with over £12,000 raised for The Jonathan Falconer Charitable Trust to go towards the new Alder Centre at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.”
