India Buildings, Liverpool has been announced as the RIAI Universal Design Award winner 2022 and Quentin Keohane Director at Falconer Chester Hall went to the awards ceremony in Dublin to collect the award.
Quentin commented, “I am extremely proud to have been part of the design team who have transformed this iconic, heritage, asset into a modern, agile, inclusive, office space for c4,000 HMRC employees.
“Being announced as winner of the Universal Design category at the RIAI awards represents the commitment and collaboration from the teams involved and shows the true approach to inclusiveness that HMRC have taken.”
India Buildings is the result of five years’ intense work by HMRC, Legal and General Investment Management, consultant design and construction teams creating a new regional hub in the heart of Liverpool city centre for c4,000 employees. Falconer Chester Hall formed part of the Cat A team and worked alongside the Cat B team to bring the project to a successful completion.
Employees of HMRC have been able to use India Buildings as their office base, in a phased return programme since its opening in September 2021.
