Our practice employs architects, technologists and interior designers, backed up by architectural assistants and practice administrators. We value the enthusiasm and creativity of our staff. Our core team have worked together through the last decade, ensuring a consistency in the quality of our work.

Paul Falconer BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA

– Chairman

Graduating from Sheffield University in 1984 Paul was a partner in a national practice for 10 yrs before establishing Falconer Chester in 1997 with partner Phil Chester. He has overseen the development of the practice since then, focusing on major mixed-use regeneration schemes particularly in his home town of Liverpool, projects which continue to change perceptions of the city as a place to invest.

A well- known and respected figure within property circles, Paul is also a governor of St Edward’s College and a trustee of the Jonathan Falconer Charitable Trust.

Adam Hall BA (Hons) BArch (Hons) RIBA

– Managing Director

Adam is a graduate of the Liverpool School of Architecture where he achieved a BA (Hons), BArch (Hons) in 1991. Adam has worked for a number of architectural practices across the country over a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure & mixed use urban regeneration and masterplanning.

Adam joined Falconer Chester in 1998 and has since then been responsible for some of the practice’s major award winning schemes. In 2004, Adam was appointed Managing Director and is now responsible for the day to day management of the practice as well
as overseeing all design and technical production.

Mark Doohan BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA

– Director

Mark qualified as an architect at Liverpool John Moores University and joined Falconer Chester Hall in November 2001, having worked at a number of smaller practices previously. He has had a major influence within the firm, championing design at all levels, while working on an abundance of re-generation projects of varying scales, in both Liverpool and Manchester. He was appointed as a director in 2006.

Alastair Shepherd

– Director

Having graduated from Liverpool John Moores University, Alastair joined the practice in 1999, where he has
been instrumental in delivering award-winning residential and commercial schemes across the
North West.

He has a great enthusiasm for sustainability issues, is a consultant to the design panel of Rotherham MBC and became a director in 2007.
