This proposed Travelodge is situated on the outskirts of Wigan Town Centre in an area that is earmarked for regeneration. The proposal is to convert the existing 5 storey former Wigan Divisional Police Headquarters, built in the early 1970s, into a 62no. bedroom hotel with ancillary bar/restaurants.

The Kings Gap Hotel at Hoylake is situated opposite the Royal Liverpool Golf Course in a conservation area, placing serious constraints on any redevelopment. Our planned £7 million refurbishment of the existing building and addition of two contemporary bedroom wings takes full account of the sensitivity of the area. Using white render and Welsh slate to harmonise with the surrounding buildings, the project adds 66 bedrooms and suites and brings the hotel up to contemporary ‘boutique’ standards.

The revitalisation of New Brighton, Wirral, is part of the ambitious scheme for the Mersey Waterfront. The masterplan includes a ten-screen cinema, restaurants, bars and a supermarket, sailing school and 60-bedroom Premiere Inn hotel. The Premiere Inn Hotel, an intergral part of the scheme, we have combined design with environmental benefits by creating impressive elevations using two tonnes of recycled glass with stainless steel signage and lighting. The hotel maximises its premium corner position taking full advantage of views towards Fort Perch Rock and Liverpool Bay.

The redevelopment of the former Liverpool Airport terminal, a superb Art Deco building with Grade II listed status, was carried out on behalf of Neptune Developments at a cost of £12.6m. The hotel provides 168 four-star standard bedrooms and conference facilities.
The importance of the building, and the affection in which it is held, made us especially proud to be commissioned to undertake this project, and we were delighted when it was awarded both the RICS Outstanding Achievement in Regeneration 2002 and the LAS Conservation Award 2002.

The Hydraulic Tower sits in a strategic location within Peel’s Waters development proposals for Birkenhead docks. Planning approval was gained in June 2008 for the conversion of the Hydraulic Tower into a restaurant, and the erection of a new four-storey 91-bedroom hotel. The Tower acts as a centrepiece to the development, with conversion respecting the existing historic fabric.

Set in eight acres of rolling countryside, West Tower Country House Hotel is now one of Lancashire’s most exclusive wedding venues providing contemporary, spacious accommodation with fabulous views towards open farmland and the hills of North Wales beyond. The hotel boasts 12 luxurious and individual bedrooms, a large dining room seating up to 200 people, conference facilities and a high quality brasserie serving the best of local produce.
Our brief here was to restore and highlight features of the manor house whilst providing extended accommodation in harmony with the existing architecture. Taking inspiration from the proportions and surroundings of the main house, the new extension maximises views through large spans of glass and framed windows. The subtle use of materials compliments the old, turning this 18th century house into a modern day success.
